Pop up Proposal Card

For this week, I am creating a pop up card for the Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge #84.  The card opens by itself as the ring box popped up with the rubber band mechanism in it.

On the front of the card, I cut four corners from the Lace Corner Deco D set.  I made a slit in each one and folded them to create the 3D effect.

Once the card is opened, the proposal question is displayed, accompanied by an ornamented jewellery box with the diamond ring on top of it.
As the jewellery box is smaller than my creative corner (another corner from the Lace Corner Deco D), I cut them into smaller pieces and decorated the different facets of the box.  Below the box is a another doily from the Chasing Rainbows doily set.
And on the side of the question, I added another corner from the Lace Corner Deco A set.   I cut an additional corner and trimmed it for the third flower.
Thanks for stopping by.

Roses and Doilies card

For this week Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge 82 - Roses, I created a shabby chic card using following dies:

I trimmed down the Notre Dame Cathedral doily and topped it with the middle doily from the Nautical Wheeler doily.  Also, instead of using the full die cut, I used the different parts of the Fanciful flourish to allow me to fit them into the different parts of the cards.

For the top part of the background, I used my Cuttlebug Swiss Dot embossing folder before pasting it on the card while manually scored the lines on the bottom section of the background.  To coordinate the color of the flowers with the doilies, I sprayed white roses with the same Tattered Angel mist I used on the doilies.  Instead of buying different color flowers, I prefer to buy different sizes of white/cream flowers and spray them to match my project.

Thanks you for stopping by.
