A Pop-Up Clutch Purse

I made a pop-up card for the Simon Says Stamp Pin It! Challenge.

For the bag exterior, I cut long strectch of lace using Cheery Lynn Designs Lace Edger die and sew and pleated the lace.
Once the card is opened, the content of the purse are revealed.  I created a slot (which is currently holding a Things To Do card) for additional messages.    The laces surrounding the slot is cut using Cheery Lynn Designs Scandinavian Hearts frame.  I decorated the perfume bottles with butterflies (Cheery Lynn Designs Mini Dimensional Butterflies die and Cheery Lynn Designs Olive Branches die).
On the bottom of the page, I have the key holder and a eye-shadow set.  I cut a slit in the French Pastry Tiny Doilies and folded them to make the flower on the key holder.   As for cloisonné on top of the eye shadow box,  I used Cheery Lynn Designs Lace Corner Deco D to cut a gold colored aluminium foil.  I painted the holes with markers and sealed them with glossy accents.

Pop up Proposal Card

For this week, I am creating a pop up card for the Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge #84.  The card opens by itself as the ring box popped up with the rubber band mechanism in it.

On the front of the card, I cut four corners from the Lace Corner Deco D set.  I made a slit in each one and folded them to create the 3D effect.

Once the card is opened, the proposal question is displayed, accompanied by an ornamented jewellery box with the diamond ring on top of it.
As the jewellery box is smaller than my creative corner (another corner from the Lace Corner Deco D), I cut them into smaller pieces and decorated the different facets of the box.  Below the box is a another doily from the Chasing Rainbows doily set.
And on the side of the question, I added another corner from the Lace Corner Deco A set.   I cut an additional corner and trimmed it for the third flower.
Thanks for stopping by.

Roses and Doilies card

For this week Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge 82 - Roses, I created a shabby chic card using following dies:

I trimmed down the Notre Dame Cathedral doily and topped it with the middle doily from the Nautical Wheeler doily.  Also, instead of using the full die cut, I used the different parts of the Fanciful flourish to allow me to fit them into the different parts of the cards.

For the top part of the background, I used my Cuttlebug Swiss Dot embossing folder before pasting it on the card while manually scored the lines on the bottom section of the background.  To coordinate the color of the flowers with the doilies, I sprayed white roses with the same Tattered Angel mist I used on the doilies.  Instead of buying different color flowers, I prefer to buy different sizes of white/cream flowers and spray them to match my project.

Together We Go Far....

After some recent impactful events, my husband and I decided to take a few moments to reflect on them and plan what we would like to do in the future.

I wanted to create a card as a reminder that we can achieve great things together.   While looking through my favourite dies, I found this Cheery Lynn Design Frame die - Homeward Bound.   The design fit perfectly to my theme.   Ducks always fly together in the V formation to help them conserve energy and enable them to go the distance.  Using the distress inks, I created a dawn/dust background to reflect a "TEAMed" journey of a lifetime.

I am also entering this card in the Cheery Lynn Make It Manly blog challenge.  Always amaze at what others made with the beautifuf Cheery Lynn dies.

XOXO

Doilies Flowers

Hi!!  Today, I have another project using the Cheery Lynn Designs beautiful doilies and Graphic 45 paper.  I cut different doilies designs to make some lace flowers.  The dies are amazing and create such intricate designs on these doilies.   To emphasize them, I added some lights behind the flowers.

The doilies are stacked up to create the flowers.

The lights are switched to add different yellow hues to the flowers.

Close-up look at the flowers.

Mixed media Layout

Hi,  now that the taxation month was over passed, I can shift my focus back to my art activities.  Today, I have a mixed media layout incorporating the beautiful and intricate doilies using Cheery Lynn Designs dies.  I also cut some foam using the chicken wire die which was perfect to create texture on the background.  The patten papers are from Graphic 45 Secret Garden collection.

Three different doilies were stacked together to create texture around the photo.

The chicken wire foam were glued to the background before the flowers and bird cage were added.
