A Lady's Boudoir

I am very much behind in my blogging, still trying very hard to post all the projects I have completed.

This post focuses on a lady's dressing room I made.  I used the Ladies' Diary collection from Graphic 45.

Close-up shots of the dressing table and dress form.  I made the dress form from air dry clay and covered it with the pattern paper.

As for the album, I am still debating on whether to use tags or made a bound album to be housed in the closet.

And before I forget, the pink wall light is actually a working LED light.  This is a shot of the boudoir at night.

Thank you very much for stopping.

My first scrap book layout..

Decided to venture into layout (something I thought I would not do since the 12' by 12" size seems so daunting) when I saw this beautiful piece of paper from Webster's Pages Best Friends collection.

When I first saw the wedding photos from a friend, I immediately noticed the photography style and clothing were dated to 10 years ago.   However, after flipping through them, I noticed that there was such radiance on the bride's face with a timeless beauty.   With that, I began to crop a few photos with her face only.

So this is my take of their wedding memory in year "2013".

As the paper and the photos have beautiful hues of colours, I decided to use light colour embellishment minimally.

Perhaps, I will take another layout challenge but using a "minimalist" style.   Until then, thank you for stopping by.

More cards

Hello and Happy 2013.  Would like to share a few cards that I made for one of the Card Making class in my local scrap booking store.

First is a pop-up Valentine Card from the sweet Lucky In Love collection from My Mind's Eyes.

Second is a "wheel" card.  On the right side of the card, I punched through the card for the wheel to be turned to display the different greetings.  Left the greeting out on this card until the occasion arise and then I will stamp the greetings on to the wheel.  It is made from the MME Lost and Found 3 Oliver collection.

Last card is a challenge to myself to make a simple card using kraft paper.

Inside the card, I used masking tape with the 'bulldog clip' image to stick the notepad to the card.

Hope you enjoy it and thanks for stopping by.
